Pregnancy is such a JOY!
This is my 4th (and final!) pregnancy, so naturally I have been soaking in all those last little kicks, ultrasounds, belly rubs etc.. May will be here before we know it and we can not wait to meet our sweet girl and complete our family.
However, as much as I love carrying this sweet little babe, let’s be real.. pregnancy is not easy all the time and life doesn’t stop because you’re tired, sick or don’t want to wear pants. Luckily, this isn’t my first rodeo so I’ve picked up a few tips along the way and want to share them all with you!
Here are few things I have found over the years that helps keep me healthy during pregnancy. Mind, Body & Soul!
Keeping your BODY healthy is so important during pregnancy but can be hard when you don’t feel great and/or your pregnant during the winter months. I stay healthy by consuming tons of super foods! Not only do I feel better when I eat healthier but eating super foods daily gives me energy, reduces fatique & helps eliminate bloating/swelling during pregnancy. My favorite “Go to” especially early on when I couldn’t stomach salads or veggies but knew I needed nutrients, was a smoothie. I like to make smoothie bowls and top them with all my favorite super foods. These smoothies are packed with nutrients from veggies and I always throw in a probiotic as well. Plus, the girls always have a blast helping me with these, too!
It’s also highly important (especially in the winter!) to make sure you and everyone around you is healthy. Washing your hands often and being mindful of touching your mouth/face is a great way to ensure you and your little bundle stay healthy during your pregnancy.
My favorite *must have products* for pregnancy has to be this sweet little duo! Nangai oil & SeneGence Shea butter body cream. These products paired together are ideal for keeping your skin soft and supple. Shea butter is a rich and emollient moisturizer that contains natural healing and restorative properties, combined with anti-aging. Uh, yes please! Nangai oil helps seal in that moisture with triglycerides that are natural and provide a barrier on the skin to keep moisture from escaping. This duo is especially awesome for repairing and preventing stretch marks, scars etc. PERFECT for growing bellies!
Ultimately, the most important part is often the most over looked part of staying healthy during your pregnancy. FEED YOUR SOUL. Surround yourself with loved ones, do things that you enjoy, take time for yourself and enjoy the precious miracle you are creating.
Sure, everything hurts and your dying… but isn’t it beautiful? (:
