When it comes to caring for your skin, I always recommend developing a routine.
“Skin care shouldn’t be a routine, it should be a ritual.”
It might sound odd, but it’s sort of like conducting an experiment.
Develop a routine. Then if you notice that you’re breaking out, or your skin is flaking or patchy, or anything else — it’s easier to determine what’s going awry or what you need to add to your routine. Maybe you need a different cleanser, a new moisturizer, or possibly a new serum or cream step.
In my case, it’s taken me several years to develop a proper skincare routine for the winter, and SeneGence skin care products have been a godsend. Honestly, they’ve changed my skin completely. I went from dealing with dry patches and uneven skin tone to having smooth, even, pore-less skin all over — plus a plan in place for wrinkle prevention.
Here’s what I do. Your needs may differ, but if you’re looking for a place to start, I highly recommend this routine!
1. Normal to Dry Face Wash
I use SeneDerm Normal to Dry 3 in 1 Cleanser. It’s nice and light but provides just enough moisture and toning to condition my skin in the dry winter months.
2. Anti-Wrinkle Crème
It feels weird to use an anti-wrinkle cream at my age, but hey! Using it now is how you prevent wrinkles in the future. This cream is so airy and light, but it has already made a huge difference in my skin’s smoothness.
3. Climate Control
My ultimate favorite: Climate Control is especially designed for dry skin (hello, winter!) and anti-aging. I love the way it feels (it’s a spritz!), and it really works.
4. SeneSerum C
I use this under my moisturizer to help prevent signs of aging and to shield my skin from environmental hazards (smoke, pollution, etc.). It’s all natural, and it’s so light, I can hardly feel it. But if I don’t use it? I can definitely tell!
5. Day Time Moisturizer
The perfect day time moisturizer. Contains key vitamins and oils to keep my skin supple and hydrated all day.
6. Silk Pore Minimizer / Skin Primer
This is essential before makeup application. It fills in all my fine lines and wrinkles (and pores!) to give me a smooth skin surface for foundation, concealer, etc.
From here, I prep and apply my LipSense lip color as well as the rest of my makeup, keeping Glossy Gloss with me all day for quick touch-ups.
Normal to Dry Face Wash
Back with my favorite face wash! SeneGence’s Face Wash not only cleanses and tones, it removes makeup as well! #score
3. Anti-Wrinkle Crème
I use my anti-wrinkle cream once again.
4. SeneSerum C
Again with SeneSerum C.
5. Collagen Night Pak
And finally, I end the evening with Collagen Night Pak, which uses marine collagen, caffeine, and an anti-aging complex to literally heal and seal in moisture while I sleep.
Again, this routine has been great for me. But if you’re still new to developing a routine for yourself or you don’t want to dive in with all the products at once, I get it. In that case, I’d recommend starting with one or two products.
See how they work for you, then add in the other steps as you see fit and according to your unique needs.
However you manage it, though, having a set-in-place skincare routine for morning and evening is definitely worth it. Try it and see how you like it!
